20-08-2015-1

India’s first Men’s Fashion Week, India Luxury Style Week 2015 continues on Day 3 with outstanding shows by the finest men’s wear designers. The event has been conceptualised and produced by renowned Designer Ramesh Dembla in collaboration with Bollywood superstar, Akshay Kumar. This event was hosted by Mövenpick Hotel & Spa Bangalore.

Day Three of ILSW commenced with the stately show of Sharad Raghav. A designer who is famed for the versatility of his designs that capture a thrill of experimentalism, Sharad has catered to the who is who of Bollywood and Television. His creations applauded the Indian heritage fabrics and reflected his distinct personality. This was evident with the use of embroidery, Resham, Zardozi and Chikankariand Silk. The collection was an Indo-fusion amalgamation of fabrics with western sleek cuts. From dupattas on the male models to the bright shaded hues of silk Bandhgalas, classic cuts, floral pants with Sherwanis, the collection highlighted his love for everything Indian. Actress and Model Parvati Nair looked drop dead gorgeous in a beautiful white lengha with a chikankari dupatta. Kishore and Angana Roy also graced the ramp as showstoppers along with Parvati Nair.

The second show on Day Three of ILSW was of NIFT alumni Samant Chauhan. His collection was an ode to the Bhagalpur master weavers and was an expression of vintage looks crafted to perfection.

The following show was by the designer none other than Samir Junaidi. Taking inspiration from the city of 1000 temples and South India, Junaidi’s collection consisted of the famed Kanjeevaram Saris in the form of Menswear such as form fitted jackets, bandhgalas and more! The edgy but yet clean cuts of this collection boasted of sleek silhouettes and a remarkable effort to promote the Indian Hand-loom Industry. Junaidi is clearly the dream weaver of Indian fabrics and this was best represented by the sharp yet muted colours representing what South India is famous for, the evergreen Kanjeevaram but this time, its for men! The commendable aspect was that the aesthetics of the Kanjeevaram was kept intact with each creation. The highlight was surely the walk by debonair Ismail Darbar and a sword act by his showstopper, Vidyut Jamval.

The finale of Day Three of India Luxury Style Week 2015 was Bangalore’s very own Designer Manoviraj Khosla whose designs amazed one an all for their bright colors and simplicity. Aptly titled as, Khoslas collection was all about whites, lines, denims, velvet on velvet and even leather! From parrot green to bright pink and cheery yellows, his collection did not shy of using colour to the fullest! From the beaches of Goa to a cocktail evening, Manoviraj Khosla had it all in the magical evening.
