Back to School for Grandparents
Daffodils English School today held the Grand Parents Day celebrations in their school campus. It was a déjàvu for most of the grandparents present on this occasion. A spectacle where grand children performed, danced, sang for their grandparents. Moist eyes, continuous claps and the million dollar smiles adorned the school campus to say the least.
Mr. Chinnappa AP, Correspondent of Daffodils English School, says, “Grandparents play a very important role in shaping our future by laying a very strong foundation. What better way than to dedicate one day for them as a gesture of love, affection and care”.
“Grandparents day is usually celebrated in September. We decided to keep it on the 4th of September , just a day before the teachers day as we believe that our grandparents are our first teachers who help us shape our lives from day one that we step in. They are our friend, philosopher and guide. This year’s celebrations saw our grandparents not only participate enthusiastically but also dance and play along with their grand children”, said Ms. Sujatha Girish, Head Mistress, Junior Wing, Daffodils English School.
